Jodie asked me to share my secrect of my almost 100lbs weight loss in 9 months. I found a progam that where I eat 6 times a day, every 2-3 hours. The key is I eat small meals that are a balance of carbs, protein and fats. My cholesterol is down and I'm off my statin drug as well as off my high blood pressure drug. The best part for me is that 5 of the 6 meals are "grab and go" meals and I only have to cook 1 meal a day.

Thank you Tina!! I firmly believe in the "mini meal" concept. It keeps your energy level up and your blood sugar more steady all day long as well. Also a great way to avoid feeling super hungry and scarfing down a huge meal in the evening. Congratulations on doing such a great job!!

Tina you should be proud of yourself. You made a big change in your life. I do hope I get the courage to do the same. I have started but I keep back sliding. I must make a definite decision.

I am just curious, is there anyone out there who have not been able to take statin drugs to help lower their cholestrol due to side effects, if so what changes have you made to try to lower your numbers without the use of statins. I am looking for ways to lower my cholesterol naturally the best that i can. Any ideas?

Diane I have been taking drugs to lower my cholesterol but they have made me feel so sick that I stopped. I am just managing without it. I try keep away from fat and try hard to eat healthy. I also walk a lot more these days. I refuse to take anymore of the cholesterol drugs.

some ways that you can reduce cholesterol and LDL , with out statins are 1. Lose weight, every pound lost incrementally improves the lipid profile 2. watch what you eat, high fat in diet can alter you lipid profile 3. for statin intolerant folks and who have dyslipidemia - your physician can prescribe fibrates and/or niacin. © droidor. medical breakthroughs in easy terms Content Comments
